Our Volcanic Estate

In 2018, we acquired a remarkable vineyard on a high slope in Oregon’s Dundee Hills, near celebrated sites we had worked with for decades. From its expansive southeastern exposure, the estate looks east toward Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson and south across the heart of the Willamette Valley.

Haakon/Lenai[hawk•en la•nay] is our family’s pursuit of exceptional Oregon Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Named for our children, Haakon and Lenai, the winery represents both our family’s history in Oregon wine and our vision for its future.

Every Haakon/Lenai wine is grown and crafted exclusively from our estate vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA. Our farming is organic and biodynamic, with a focus on building healthy soils, biodiversity and vines that express the distinctive volcanic landscape of the Dundee Hills.

Production is intentionally limited to approximately 500 cases of estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay each year from the highest elevation sections. Haakon/Lenai wines are available primarily through our Dundee tasting room, directly from the winery and through a small collection of select retailers.
